Providers, rail access and payment rails
- Provider
- A payment provider or acquirer: it processes payments under your own contract with it.
- Rail access
- A company you contract with that reaches payment rails (bank transfers, instant payments, direct debits) through its own bank or scheme memberships.
- Rail
- The payment network itself, such as SEPA or Faster Payments. Payshen never connects to a rail directly; it reaches it through the providers that carry it.
